Pneumatic valves, manifolds and fieldbus applications

This versatile range includes everything from mechanically, pneumatically, and electrically operated single valves to highly complex modular manifolds. Electro-pneumatic ED02 pressure regulators offer an ultra-compact design. They feature high dynamics, excellent control accuracy, and digital control electronics. LS04 series mini valves are another compact, lightweight choice that is ideal for the automotive, electronics, and semiconductor industries, as well as robotics and assembly technology applications. Our Advanced Valve (AV) system is the result of intensive research which has opened up entirely new avenues in design and materials. The new polymer-based construction reduces the weight of the components and enables assembly on moving parts. The AES interface ensures smooth serial communication.

ES05 Essential Valve

ES05 is a valve system that has been designed especially for standard pneumatics applications and industrial automation.

AV (03 and 05) Valve System

The AV system is a complete automation solution that continuously adapts to your requirements and maximizes the potential of your existing machines. Comprehensive flow analyses, a modern polymer-based construction, and our many years of experience with application requirements were the basis for this manifold concept. The result is a class of its own. A significantly reduced weight and extremely compact size result in an increased function density.

  • The diagonal spool, flexible base plate, and galvanic isolation in the power concept
  • These valve systems are characterized by their adaptability and simplicity
  • Up to 64 base plate valves can be added modularly to the board, and configurable voltage and compressed air circuits add to the system's flexibility
  • An optimum combination of directional valves with the AES fieldbus connection and a large variety of components is a decisive advantage
  • As a fieldbus connection, it ensures optimum communication between actuators and machine peripherals. In combination with the compact AV systems, AES components can be placed very close to pneumatic drives.

Valve System, HF series

The HF valve system ensures flexible installation and fast and safe valve exchange. HF means high flow and high functionality with extensive equipment options. All HF series are easily convertible thanks to robust parallel plug connectors in the base plates and plug-in valves. Electrical linking with other valve systems and single valves is possible with a module extension and separate exhaust ports are available, which allow for dual-pressure operation.

Electrically operated valves

In safety-relevant controls, the fail-safe double valves enable safe and controlled pressurization and exhaust of machines or machine sections. SV series valves consist of two redundant 3/2 directional valves with a dirt-resistant seated design that counteracts wear. The valves feature fast switching and high flow rates. The solenoid valves mutually monitor their function and are therefore considered intrinsically safe certified components for use in high control categories.

Optional features:

  • Error display module: Valves include a pressure switch with potential-free changeover contact; this signal is used for error processing in the control.
  • Silencer: All valves include silencers with high flow capacity; largely protected from clogging.
  • Dynamic monitoring with memory function: Memory, monitor, and air control functions integrated in two identical valve elements; application conditions meet Cat. 4 requirements. Valve goes into lockout position as soon as asynchronous
  • switching movements occur; output pressure is maintained below 1% of the supply pressure. Without memory function: Valve returns to standby after error is eliminated.
  • Reset with targeted override: Switching air or power supply off and on does not result in a reset. A reset can only be achieved through a targeted electrical impulse (solenoid).

Safety-related features:

  • Electrically operated valves: Directional valves according to ISO 15407-1 (18 and 26 mm), 15407-2 (26 mm), and 5599-1 (sizes 1-4)
  • Manually operated valves: Directional valves with a flow of 150 to 3,200 l/min for manual control
  • Silencers: Silencers with thread connection M5 to G1 and push-in fitting Ø 4 to 12.
  • Coils: Exchangeable coils for directional valves for coil widths 15, 22, and 33 mm for plugs with form A, B, C, or M8 connection
  • Mechanically operated valves: Directional valves with a flow of 150 to 1,400 l/min for mechanical control
  • Fieldbus connection: Bus couplers and IO modules for link structures AES, AS-i, BDC, CMS, VDS, or DDL
  • Directional valves: Safety in pneumatics – valves with slider position detection

To safely monitor the switching state of a valve and hence the safety function performance, an electronic proximity sensor queries the slider position and sends a signal with the switching state to the machine control. The valve is not a safety device but can be used as part of a larger solution.
